Plymouth one of them and now Sheff Utd against nodge! Lovely!

EDIT: Unfortunately, Burnley at Mogga's Sunderland is one of them. Now 2-3.

There is a remarkable amount of sense behind the statement really.

The team taking that lead can feel it is the match won and take their eye off the ball long enough for the opposition to score and get their tails up. At 1-2, if they go on to equalise then they are in the ascendancy and the more likely to win. Sometimes holding on doggedly for a 1-0 win is better!

Of course, a disciplined side that does not relax at 2-0 and knows the game is not done is better off.

The only sense is to say that at 2-0 you must still concentrate.

There's no sense behind the statement that it's dangerous.

Look at the odds in any game once a team goes two goals up. Or look at the stats. only in 2% of games does the team 2 goals up go on to lose.
