Opticians - general recommendations 19:27 - Nov 9 with 887 viewsSlippinJimmyJuan

I don't wear glasses and it has been a long time since I had a routine eye test, but have been having occasional and mild blurriness in my left eye for the last week or so. I'm hoping it's something minor, but wanting to get an OCT scan as well, in case it is something more serious.

I've historically gone to Boots and have never had any complaints, but my town also has a Vision Express and a Specsavers and just wondering if there's any reason I should opt for one over the others. More concerned about quality and thoroughness than cost (within reason). Thanks!

Only if you don’t see them coming!

To the OP - may as well stay with Boots if you’ve been happy before.

They've all got all the gear nowadays too haven't they?

Most can detect stuff that used to be unique to eye specialists that were only found at the back of hospitals.

I would say it's at least one success story for privatisation but not everyone can afford all their services.
