ITFC of recent years has failed to rise 13:18 - Jan 3 with 1378 viewsFromReuserWithLove

to the occasion in 'must-win' big games. When the pressure is on we usually wilt. The Plymouth game is a real test for us, we're at home with a strong squad. We should be expecting to win, not hoping - that's the only mentality. If we fail in that game then i sadly don't see us making top two. Long way to go i know but i think it will set the tone for the weeks ahead. And us in the Play-Offs? You know how that goes.

Having said all of that, i actually think we will win and win well. The group have the right mentality but are clearly fatigued with a bout of illness thrown on top. A couple of inspired signings will see a real boost in the camp. COYB.

They were by far the better team than us at their ground. It is going to be a really tough game.

To be fair it's not just recently. Can't remember the last big must win game we have won, especially at home. The nerves seem to start on the terraces and then filter onto the pitch, whereas as other clubs it seems to be the opposite.

Completely disagree.

They were not by far better than us, it was a very even game. A draw probably fair or a close win either way. They scored two fantastic goals to win them the game.

As soon as I saw the state of that ploughed field they call a pitch at Lincoln, I knew we were in for a sht time of it.

They had a game plan and executed it.

We weren't up for that sort of game, teams know how to roll us and do it week after week.

Time for McKenna and Ashton to earn that mega-dollar and turn this ship around.

Agreed, I felt they perhaps shaded it but if Walton's brilliant header had dropped in, it would not have been outrageous for us to snatch a draw by any means.

They were better than us from the 60 minute mark onwards. Schumacher changed things up, tweaked their formation slightly, made a couple of subs and that made the difference. Before then, I'd say we were the better team and had the better chances up to that point. However, what I do agree with is it will be a tough game at our place and we simply need to take our chances because they won't give us copious amount of attempts to get 1 goal.

Felt at the time a draw would've been about right, with our dominance initially before they took control in that final half hour.

Hmm and yet, we created plenty of goal scoring opportunities and played some decent football at all times, on that poor pitch.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Plymouth regularly shake things up at around 60 -65 minutes and it usually works as they have a very strong bench. Ipswich need to be two or even three goals clear by then to be confident of winning.
