From what I can see we only have Morsy and Humphreys who are fully fit central midfielders. So it would be likely we might have a young backup CM on the bench alongside Luongo. Tough times right now with a Morsy 2 game ban imminent.

I don't think anyone in the U21s is considered ready to be involved. Fraser Alexander would be the next cab off the rank, so to speak but he's on loan at Chesham. If we need an additional central midfielder I would imagine Aluko might play there or Harness, having come on in that role last week.

Could end up seeing a slight formation tweak, imo, once Morsy is suspended. Someone like Harness or Aluko playing a slightly deeper CM role, as oppose to AM. Assuming Luongo is still only 50/50.
I don't care what people say about blaming bad luck, especially when we've spent heavy.. Imo, we've definitely been unlucky with injuries this season. The timing of them and in some cases the longevity....This whole slump started in October/November when we were well light on bodies. And we still can't catch a break.. |  | | |
