66 shots in the last 3 games 18:27 - Feb 25 with 901 views | Trequartista | for a team that doesn't take many pot shots from outside the area, I don't think there's a lot wrong with this team.

66 shots in the last 3 games on 08:31 - Feb 26 with 608 views | Churchman | I don’t think there is either. It is clear that the team is work in progress and KM/MAs interview with Matt Holland was very informative on what they are trying to do. Unlike most clubs trying to get a team out of the L1 morass, they’re trying to put something together that’ll take the team beyond just promotion to the Championship. They mentioned Wigan and Rotherham struggling because their promotion teams being heavy on loanees. They also mentioned progress of the team from 11th and worse over the last few years and that statistically, all the indicators/stats say, as you rightly point out, that this is a good team. This is not happy clapping as the perpetually negative posters on here might claim, but a view based on what is actually happening, stats like this and communication coming out of the club such as last week’s. The club is getting stronger. Two years ago we were getting hammered by Northampton and Wimbledon and the club was dying. A good half at Portsmouth before the usual second half collapse because the players weren’t fit enough to last more than 45 mins, beaten easily by promotion chasing teams. We now either compete or outplay all the teams in this division and even if we fail this year, I doubt we will next. Conversation rate on 66 shots? Could be better. But this is L1 and we don’t have Foden and Haaland up front. It will improve. Hirst has already been written off as a waste of space by a few but we were short of a proper No 9 and he may fit the bill. He’s been here 2 minutes and people don’t always settle into new places instantly. I’d not be surprised to see somebody take a real pasting off us before the end of the season. We are a good team close to being an outstanding one.

The conversion rate for the top 6 is all fairly similar: Sheff Weds - 10.0% Plymouth - 10.2% Ipswich - 9.8% Bolton - 10.1% Barnsley - 10.3% Derby - 9.2% After last weeks Forest Green game we were above all of those and joint 2nd for conversion rate. Even in the Prem it's not as high as you might think it is - Spurs and Brentford top on 12.5% followed by Arsenal on 12.1% and Man City on 11.7%

Glad someone mentioned the recent Ashton/KM interview...Very telling, and very calming, I thought..At a time when some sections have been quite hydsterical .. Regards the OP. I think we have actually been taking more shots from distance, lately . And I think we've also been mixing things up, more, with our style of play..Our conversion could, still be a lot better..But I'm quite pleased to see us, mixing things up a bit, recently. And, imo. Looking a bit less predictable..
66 shots in the last 3 games on 10:08 - Feb 26 with 512 views | norfsufblue | I have been a critical of our longer range shooting but yes we are taking more shots and I thought it was noticeably different yesterday that we did line up several more attempts rather than pass the ball sideways.... hopefully their accuracy will improve will improve from more attempts.... certainly you'd think an opposition that has to come out and stop long range shooting would suffer by conceding space out wide which illustrates why a varied options of attack methods is necessary to open up teams only interested in the point they start with .
