Ashton on Kayden 20:14 - Mar 24 with 1470 viewsKeno

“Kayden Jackson, an incredibly improved player. For me Kayden’s almost a selfless player for the team. An outstanding young man, I think he’s the type of person who typifies everything that’s good about this football club.”

That’s some praise for a player who’s had so much flak

I couldn't agree more with MA. Until the beginning of 2022, I just wanted to see Kayden have his contract settled and say cheerio. 14 months later, and he is brim full of confidence, and adds something to the team that no one else does. McKenna looked at his strengths, and worked out how to use them. And on top of all the football aspect, Kayden is just a tremendous human being and a superb role model for any young footballer. I am so happy to have been proved wrong.

Poll: would you rather

Flak from those that don't understand football.

Absolutely agree. Jayden could easily have sat back and sulked his way through his contract, but he has got stuck in adapted to our style and brings something else to the team when he comes on.
Also hats off to KM for working out how best to use him and obviously keep him on board.
At last we have a modern set up at the club where players are treated as adults by management.

This suggests to me that he will have a role next season, whether or not we get promoted.

Ashton bigging him up to get a better price for him when we sell at the end of the season?

I guess the Jackson haters will simply say that's why Ashton isn't the manager.
