Ludicrous Where is our ceiling? 08:30 - Apr 8 with 2021 views | cressi | Yesterday 28 thousand Town fans in league one probably more in the fan zone then clubs get for a home game where could this all lead I have a fantastic feeling at the moment. This club is on the way back thanks to the new owners and their investment and choice of direction ie McKenna
Ludicrous Where is our ceiling? on 08:34 - Apr 8 with 1977 views | BanksterDebtSlave | The ceiling in The Greyhound has definitely been exceeded, couldn't get food or drink and had to go to The Black Horse. Where were they when we were sh1t.....some sort of loyalty entry policy is surely required!!

The wider infrastructure can't handle a sell out tbf. Yesterday I was stuck on the A14 for 40 minutes. Missed two trains then had to queue for 20 minutes to get in. They had to shutter the concourse bars about 3 minutes into half time and Beatties was dangerously overcrowded. All of the above was totally worth suffering for the absolute dynamite display. Best atmosphere I can remember too.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Gamechanger since day one, has been targeting CL. That’s where the money is, and as a business venture ( which we are), has to have a payback to the pension fund that’s funding our revival. No point thinking small!

The major roadworks in our region are an absolute joke. The A12 has been at walking pace for over 2 years and now they’ve decided to shut the bloody A14 after 8pm. I travelled back from N. Derbyshire on Wednesday ( normally a 3hr journey). We were well on time , then hit Stowmarket. It took an hour to actually get to the 2mile roadwork section, and then another hour to get through them. So a further 2hrs on our journey just to negotiate a 2 Mike stretch of roadworks! WHY would the National Highways take the decision to shut the only two major roads into Suffolk, at the same time! The diversions for the A14 are ridiculous and make container lorries travel through small country roads . Just what are they on??? So yes it affect ITFC atm, but it’s affecting everyone who lives in the area who literally can’t get home unless they “ detour” ridiculous mileage after 8-9pm, or take hours to travel the small roadwork distance during daytime journeys.

I saw the sign for the A14 eastbound near Norton is Summer 2024. Madness to re-lay a bit of road.

I think it’s going to take 16months. They’ve got to do the drainage, central reservation, get up the old concrete and lay new tarmac. Still a complete PITA though…

Fortunately we had read about the A14 roadworks and left an hour earlier. Didn’t take too long at 11ish. Also got to the SAR stand at 2 so got through the new turnstiles quickly. My worry is the Port Vale game with the A14 closed at night. Having a 150 mile journey home is not pleasant if you are trying to get back onto the A14 through country lanes at the time of night!
