Morsy team of the season 00:43 - Apr 24 with 1231 views | JackNorthStand | No argument with Bannan, but Hourihane over Morsy? I am very surprised at that. I guess football fans outside of our club maybe do not realise just how good and key Morsy is.

Morsy is the best player in this league by a mile.

Morsy team of the season on 09:13 - Apr 24 with 710 views | Sharkey | Who votes for these particular awards? I think I read it's the rival managers in the respective leagues, - is that right? (It seems as good a way as any, although a bit complicated with the high turnover of managers.)

No. Tchamadeu won two awards, and he's way up the card charts in league 2. IF it's the managers who vote, I think it's maybe the case that Morsy is a player that they admire more than they like. (Though I bet Scott Brown voted for him!)

I was surprised a Colchester defender, who have been fighting relegation all season, was included. He must be good

Morsy team of the season on 09:29 - Apr 24 with 652 views | nodge_blue | I think there's an element of picking players at different clubs? How is this chosen...a panel? I can't see how the Bristol rovers lad got pots. Really strange choice.

I think he got it because he's in the top 10 of both goals scored and assists and as football is about scoring goals the fact he has scored and created a few resulted in him winning POTS *Broadhead on his current stats would easily beat him on both if had been here for a full season [Post edited 24 Apr 2023 9:36]

He's great to watch. He's 19 and 5 months, and has played about 80 league games. He'll be eligible for the young player award again next year, and the one after that. p.s. I think it's exactly people like him that Ashton has in mind when he says that Town are thinking of moving the youth set-up to the 'Essex side' of Ipswich, as he called it. Colchester have a good 'crop' of London kids who they have made or will make good money on. (Wiredu, Poku, Tchamadue, Tovide). It is of course easier to 'blood' these guys in League 2 than in the leagues higher up, and two of the above were cast-offs from Charlton. [Post edited 24 Apr 2023 9:47]
