Think you're right - I watched the first hour & wished I hadn't, not going to be able to unsee one of those images for some time. Takes a sick mind to think that kind of stuff up or use it in a TV drama.
Kept watching for the 'whodunnit' aspect but gave up even on that - just another boring, formulaic police drama with all the usual cliches - mocked psychologist assisting, old skool cop gets taken off case, interfering journalists spinning sensationalist takes etc. | |

I used to really enjoy it, but haven't watched it for years so not sure how it holds up. You have to remember that the first one aired in 2002, so it wasn't quite as formulaic then as it seems now. At the time, it seemed fairly fresh and original.
I agree that some of the imagery is pretty graphic, which is something I usually avoid, but for some reason I never had an issue with it when I was a teenager... |  |
