Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels 09:50 - Apr 28 with 1497 views | saffers12 | Have to say the build up to the Barnsley game was the most stressful and anxious I have ever been before a game, did other people feel the same? Hence the Hirst goal was up there with Reuser goal for me at Wembley Although I am much more relaxed about tomorrow
Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels on 09:57 - Apr 28 with 1439 views | tonybied | It's the other way around for me but work has been manic for the last 3 weeks so I didn't get time to sit and worry about the Barnsley game. I am on annual leave for 10 days after today, so I've got my slate clean and currently have barely anything to do today. I just keep worrying about results going against us and the stress of then having to complete the job on the final day. I am at a christening tomorrow which starts at 1.30pm, I'm hopeful I'll be able to keep up with the score although I'm definitely not going to be able to watch so this is only helping to fuel my anxiety (not that watching would help in any way!).
Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels on 10:00 - Apr 28 with 1426 views | Metal_Hacker | I was during the build up but once I took my seat in the ground I was fine. Literally as soon as the game kicked off I knew we'd win , it was a weird feeling but maybe it was the other 4,799 around me that helped As for tomorrow ,I'm trying to be as balanced as I have been all season before a game , not too low not too high but come tomorrow at just before 5pm I'm hoping to be running around the streets of Sheffield naked !!! Now that's balanced innit

Beating Peterborough took a lot of pressure off the Barnsley game too. Hirst’s goal is going to be one of the great moments of a very good season I think.

Very much this. Port vale triggered my PTSD from creweat home in 99.

I did think with 10 minutes to go against PV about how I would give anything for 1 goal, the tension was awful and the possible impact
Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels on 12:39 - Apr 28 with 1106 views | BlueNomad | Totally relaxed about tomorrow. My worst stress was PV. Mrs Nomad came with me because I had my mate’s ticket and I just had a bad feeling that it would go wrong. PV scoring only exacerbated my stress. She thought it was sweet that I exploded with joy when we scored.
Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels on 13:05 - Apr 28 with 1018 views | DJR | Despite Port Vale, I tried not to think about either the Peterborough or Barnsley game until they kicked off, so my nerves weren't too bad. Having said that, mid-way through the first half of the Barnsley match I did say to my mates I would be happy with a draw.
Fan of 40 years plus - stress levels on 13:11 - Apr 28 with 970 views | xrayspecs | Same. Tuesday was the most nervous I have been before a game this season and would have taken a point if offered prior to the kick-off. (Currently) much more relaxed about tomorrow given how the team has been playing, the squad depth, and the advantage we have over SW. To not get top two requires SW to win both games AND for us to pick up no more than one point from our last two games. That just feels like an unlikely combination of results.
