Morsy, Chappers,Burgess and Hladky would be my No1 prorities....
Hladky is very low maintenance and appears to be ok in accepting the no2 slot. Obviously appreciated by KM, too, with that little cameo verses Exeter...
Edwards remains an enigma for me. I like him, but see him as an out and out winger. He's not a WB (defensively) and not a 10.. If he stays, then I think his chances will be limited in KMs side, assuming we add another 10/C.F. hybrid type player, like TJJ... Can see Edwards, perhaps getting a few impact sub appearances, or used in low key cup matches if he's here next season. He's had another season to really push on for a starting place, ahead of Harness and hasn't taken the opportunity, imo. And us signing Broadhead, would suggest, that neither are really of the standard that KM wants/needs, going forwards... I feel, that if we put Edwards on a new Championship contract, it might be hard to shift him, if he stays at his current level..... Just some pragmatic thoughts.. Ideally I'd like him to wake up tomorrow and be the player we all think he could be. But time is a ticking, imo. |  | | |

I can only see us protecting assets like Chaplin, Morsy, Ball, Leigh, Edmundson, Burgess.
I don’t remember if we paid fees for Evans, Harper, Edwards, but there are big decisions on whether to price them out of L1 deals by offering extended Championship deals. Evans is most complicated for me because it depends on the future mix and balance in Midfield. Harper is gone. Edwards isn’t exactly proven at L1 let alone Champ but there is probably space in the squad for him. | |

Morsy will be 32 shortly after next season starts. While he has been a key player this season, he isn't getting any younger & he is likely to become less effective & able to play 90 minutes in a couple of years. Handing him a juicy new contract wouldn't be a good use of resources. If Town are to be challenging for play offs next season (unlikely IMO) we will need to be spending those resources wisely on recruiting players better than those we already have. |  |

I agree with extensions for Morsy Chaplin Burgess Edmundson and a review after October for the others if they have stepped up for us in the first three months.
i also think Janoi and Kayden are worth a review this summer and Dom Ball and Greg Leigh a longer contract now.

I’d probably go for player of the season Evans before his injury and arguably our best CB in Edmundson. Edwards was also an incredible sub and Hladky seems a decent back up keeper.
