Currently at the Foxhall Stadium watching the hot rods, bangers and stock car races. Not been before but bloody brilliant afternoon and evening out. Loving the smell, the noise and adrenaline rush.
Going to come here again 👍

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

I hope you are going to plant a tree tomorrow.

Two.
There was much burning rubber and fuel.
I feel dirty and ashamed.

I was a marshal there for a dozen years or so until last year and was there today and will be tomorrow.

This weekend is the Hot Rod World Final attracting the biggest grids of cars and is the highlight of the short oval calendar, and Foxhall is generally recognised as the Wembley of the sport where many big meetings and races are held.

Loved the ramshackle look of the stadium. Some cracking racing, a few pile ups, friendly atmosphere and a fair few fans from overseas. Not expensive to get in or to purchase food and drink inside either.
Really enjoyed the whole spectacle

A stand from PR was dismantled and re-erected at the Foxhall Stadium many, many moons ago. Is that stand still there or has that itself been replaced?

That was the old chicken run that I remember vaguely from my early visits to Portman Road I think.
Not sure if any of that survives at the Foxhall.

Half of it blew down in the storm of 1987, the rest was condemned following the Bradford fire as it was made of wood and was over a certain capacity, it was removed from site in the early 90.

The current grandstands are from the Olympics and were installed in the winter of 2012-13.

Just imagine, in about twenty years time all you'll hear is the whine of milk floats going around.
