Assuming we get Hutchinson, Trusty (or similar) + another forward we would need to lose one of Harness, Jackson or Evans imo, I’ve left Jackson out of my 25. But to me that looks solid, 3 more signings and we look well set for the season.

A LCB and an attacker (OH/JRS) appear to being targeted. Would be go for another one up top, possibly but not certain.
If we do then I think Evans may be the one to miss out. We need more energy and mobility in midfield, which was why Taylor was signed. For all Evans ability on the ball, he lacks pace and his injury record is a worry. Dom Ball remains a useful option, especially if we need him to cover at CB. | | | |

Jackson is the ST +1 and can cover RW if something happens to the (recently injured) Burns. Seems strange to me that people are just dismissing him from their 25. Maybe I'm wrong and we'll get someone else in, but no way is Lapado a 3rd choice.

Certainly not dismissing him, but as we’ve seen, if there’s an opportunity to upgrade in a position then it’ll be taken and if we want a third striker then one of Jackson, harness or Evans will miss out, to me that would probably be Jackson but could be any of them. | | | |

If we're playing 1 up top like last year I don't see us getting anyone in who will push Lapado down to a supporting No3 role, assuming the pecking order is Hurst then Lapado.
Ideally we would have a Simpson style youngster busting through from the u21s, but we're a few of years away from that now. I don't see the point of throwing Jackson away just to get a different 3rd choice sticker who won't get adequate minutes. McKenna clearly likes how Jackson offers pace - he will be in the 25. | | | |

Leave out Pigott as we know if we can't sell we'll probably just settle his contract, but include Jackson as no mention of him moving on...
...which leaves 2 spaces for a CB and another attacking player; I'd be more than happy to start the season with those 25 players. |  |
