Has he played every pre-season friendly at CB?

I know you shouldn't read too much into it at this stage (especially with two friendlies in a day and needs must at CB right now) but I do wonder if that is where we may see more of him this season. Expect we will sign a LCB but if Edmundson can't stay fit (as is beginning to look very possible) we are still going to be one short there.

He was at right back last night and I thought looked ok. Got forward well a few times.

His versatility makes him a great bench option as he could cover CM, CB or RB.

We can have more players on the bench next season too. Ball will probably be the first name on it tbf with his versatility which will allow alot more choices in the attacking sense. We will sign two more players this summer I’d have thought. LCB and one more attacker. (Lad from Chelsea seems nailed on)

Maybe this is the further evolution of McKenna-ball. Man City and Liverpool have taken forward the idea of goalkeepers being ball players. Now we have centre backs who are converted midfielders. If you're always in possession, I guess there's no need to be able to defend...
