It's not quite had the excitement of previous Gamechanger transfer windows but we have had some solid additions in there Scarlett looks like a project for McKenna and is clearly a bit raw and talented, hopefully he fits our style more naturally than Portsmouth. He's probably likely to be more clinical than Jackson and is a different kind of player to our other strikers. It's going to be an interesting one. Williams is a solid addition even if he hasn't had the best start, he's versatile and more experienced than Leigh, he'll end up doing a decent job I'm sure Taylor will grow into the side, everyone assumes he'll play centre midfield but could also play in the 10 role as well at times Hutchinson is going to be hit and miss, he's clearly talented and will be a very good player in the future as he learns to make more right decisions in the final third but whether that's for us, time will tell. It looks like we are likely to use him more off the bench to finish games off. He looks like he'll be most effective when we are counter attacking. Slicker looks like solid back up Edit: Hirst I have forgotten entirely about but for the money we spent on him, I think that's a fairly smart recruitment in comparison for the amount Coventry have spent on Simms as a comparison Obviously we still need a centre back, Tuanzebe has good pedigree and is potentially a big punt should he sign. We are rolling the dice here, if he can stay fit he is useful and would certainly increase his resale value considerably. For me it's a 6, solid if unspectacular, a lot of work has been done in previous windows and in many ways we have consolidated rather than upsetting the harmony of a good group. January might be the time where we invest more heavily if we are well positioned to do so. [Post edited 2 Sep 2023 8:42]
