Wembley travel 07:22 - Sep 12 with 673 views

Just wondering how those that attend England games travel to Wembley? Normally if I go there for concerts or football I drive, but it’s becoming a joyless and stressful option, plus with 4 of us going it would be nice to have a beer or two.

From/return to Ipswich by train seems dodgy in missing the last one back? Options?

If getting a train I opt for Colchester simply because there are later trains should you miss the 11.30 last train to Ipswich.

Of drive to a central line spot (Newbury Park/Wanstead/Stratford)

The Elizabeth line goes from Shenfield so that is now an option too.

Appreciate all of these will rule out more than a couple of drinks.

Have always managed to make the last train home from Liverpool Street when going to Wembley in the evening.

Metropolitan line straight to Liverpool Street is quite quick. Also the back up option of Jubilee to Stratford if needed.
