Maguire 16:55 - Sep 13 with 889 views | TresBonne | I just feel bad for the guy at this point. He can't catch a break. There's 100% such a good player in there, but the bloke is just shot of all confidence. He's never, ever let England down before but because of online memes and trolling of him, he's just getting worse and worse. It's similar to Emile Heskey when KSI turned him into a meme, then it all went off the boil for him. Maguire needs a move to a club like West Ham, where he can play with a protected DM in front of him. On the ball, he is actually quality, strong in the air, it's just positioning where he gets caught out. At Yanited, he just doesn't have that protection in front of him. He was my player of the tournament personally in the last Euros when he had that protection.
Maguire on 17:00 - Sep 13 with 848 views | J2BLUE | He is one player I would understand going to Saudi Arabia. If anyone has the right to say f#ck you and go take the money it's him IMO. Even if he moves to another Prem club he's going to get stick forever now. Badly needs a move abroad.

Maguire on 17:06 - Sep 13 with 836 views | WalkyWonderland | I feel for him but he shouldn't be picked for England. 2018 WC and his first season or so at MUFC was his peak. The best he could do. He has dropped off quite a bit since then. Still a good player. Would be a good signing for someone like West Ham but wouldn't be good enough for a top 6 team not is he good enough for the England team anymore. Southgate had to take some responsibility for continuing to pick an underperforming player who is no longer playing regularly at the highest level and expecting him to step up. He's done Maguire no favours there.

Not sure that is a valid argument when the other CBs in the squad were from Palace, Brighton, Chelsea (good player but not established yet) and Milan. It's not about what club he's at. Is he one of the best options? Right now it would be hard to say no and it would have given him even more criticism if Southgate had dropped him.

Maguire on 17:23 - Sep 13 with 770 views | Mookamoo | It's harsh he gets the abuse, but he is just not good enough. Ten Hag dropped him for a reason and talked about 'satisfaction leads to laziness'. He needs his £80 million pound defender to want to be better. Seems to me his £80 million pound defender thinks differently and is good enough and deserves his place. Man Utd's form when Maguire was in the team suggests Ten Hag is right. That own goal last might just summed him up. Under no pressure, he just stuck out a leg. Little urgency, little thought. He could have fought for a move to West Ham in the summer and worked at getting better, but it seems he is satisfied to stay at Man Utd. Perhaps he's busting a gut in training in order to get back into their first XI and he'll come back stronger - not sure that will happen though.

That’s why I don’t understand Southgate having a pop at the pundits; it wasn’t them who dropped him.
