This Ice Hockey story in Sheffield 02:29 - Nov 17 with 1459 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Apologies if discussed before. Only heard about it tonight when seeing the news over here after Matt Petgrave was arrested for manslaughter. What a tragedy! I’m not much of a Hockey fan but I’ve seen enough of it to know that your leg/foot should never be raised like that on the ice. Without speculating on what is now a criminal investigation, I will say this, it didn’t look pretty. I have no idea how/why he was playing immediately after the incident (what was the club thinking?!). There is video also showing the guy receiving an ovation from the crowd in the next game. I understand trying to support someone in facing difficult circumstances but it just didn’t seem right with a young man dying from the incident a few days before. I guess it wouldn’t have happened post arrest? But still rather odd. I mainly blame the team for putting him out there. I could not imagine after someone passing in a road accident where the CCTV should rather disturbing images of possible reckless driving someone being applauded like that. RIP Adam Johnson. This Ice Hockey story in Sheffield on 06:58 - Nov 17 with 1232 views | Pendejo | Mrs Pendejo saw it on X and can't get it out of her head. It haunts her that someone would do something so reckless playing sport. Not watched much ice hockey myself but would have thought the height the foot reached to do that unnatural, let alone with the weight of the skate. I did see a comment defending it as a accident, so watched it again and can't give it any credibility.

This Ice Hockey story in Sheffield on 08:07 - Nov 17 with 1127 views | textbackup | Seen many people open a tweet with ‘I don’t know much about ice hockey but’ And the ‘experts’ jump all over them, like lifting a foot with a razor sharp blade on the bottom is a natural and safe thing to do. Having seen it, I’m in no doubt he wanted to hurt him, obviously not kill, but the act he done you run that risk. So sad

That was just the first time Sheffield Steelers have played since the incident. He has trained with the team, but has not iced in any game. Also worth noting he's currently been released without charge. He is still on bail, but he's also a foreign national and it would be prudent so that they can put restrictions for him to not leave the country in the meantime while the police and coroners carry out their investigations.
