Wonder how they came up with the priority model they did? 19:35 - Nov 27 with 1564 viewsPendejo

Phil have you asked them?

Given home games have largely sold out for Saturday games since before the end of last season there must have been more than 5,000 people with the requisite 3 tickets.
Or have the casual attendees been that casual allowing those of us with 3 tickets a free run?

Anyway

Got ready for the queue nice and early, got on the ticket page ready, mild concern that nothing happened for a few mins...
The when it came time to check out found I'd not logged in! Luckily the ticket I'd selected held.
Though I'm sure the ticket bought wasn't where I'd selected and has a rather concerning "a" suffix to the number.

There will always be technical issues, even with the ticket companies themselves.

But there are still some non-restricted tickets left now, so I don’t see how anyone eligible today could be unhappy. They’ll be there!

With the trajectory of demand and on-pitch performance, simply being there is not something that can be taken for granted.

Pretty standard practice in the Prem for such fixtures.

It doesn't look like there were that many people who met the criteria of 3 games + membership. I do wonder how many extra memberships they sold when the criteria was announced and the cynic in me says that the criteria was set to help drive some late membership sales.

Surely this did the opposite, as if they'd instead just said anyone with a membership can get first dibs, then that would incentivise literally anyone who wanted to go to get a membership, whereas this would only incentivise those who'd been to 3+ games but didn't yet have one?
General sale was always gonna be after ST holders (or not at all for this fixture in all likelihood), so it's not like they've added any barriers to it making general sale.

Think it's basically a way of saying that if you've been to a few games and want to guarantee yourself a ticket then stump up the membership.

Would be interesting to know how many were actually in the 'bucket' and how many extra memberships they've shifted.

I an only go by a small sample of 3, but those three non-season ticket holders bought a membership at the start of the season with a view that they'd get first dibs on home tickets ahead of season ticket holders.. and had subsequently bought 3 or more tickets each... one has been to loads of games.

The sad thing for two of them, is that they gave up season tickets this season for differing reasons having had them for a few years, with no expectation we'd sell a 20k ceiling. Now it seems that they'll be lucky to get a season ticket before the new cobbold is built!
