Well that was very needed, and of course very well deserved. Critically we got some of our patterns of play going and regained the habit of wining the majority of duels.

Millwall were perfect opponents for Town tonight, they were so weak as compared to the Baggies. But you’ve still got to put them away and boy we did.

A few things to mention:

1. We almost scored one of the best passing moves we’d have seen, with such neat moves leading to a great Hirst shot that went over. But it summarised a purple patch in the first half, which reminds us just how good we can be.

2. I thought the front 4 we brought on did really well, and had great energy, incredible pressing … Scarlett is like a man transformed and bar a Bart super save scores… and Harness did so many good things … shame Millwall score after their introduction

3. Chaplin was back to some of his best tonight, and great he got the goal

4. Axel deserves the plaudits, he was calm and very tidy on the ball, it wasn’t a display that blew away Wolfie, it’s just we now have incredible cover

5. I had a hilarious exchange with the TWTD hivemind. With 50% suggesting Broadhead WASNT out of form - he clearly is and that was seen in part tonight. And thank god he made a run on the right that fired him up, then the header. I’m afraid there were two moments after the goal where he made uncharacteristic feck ups. Hopefully the goal brings him much needed confidence. Harness was far more composed when he came on.

6. Luongo was a bit of a difference engine tonight… had a bite and a pomp about him tonight.

That Leicester result is huge.

We are in a different place in terms of positivity ahead of Coventry, but they will be another level Millwall. And we’ll need better home backing than that to spur us on.

Broady just looks fked. Who knows he may have had the virus aswell as the wales call up but he does look knackered.

But it's OK when chappers is doing a performance like that as we had an outlet. Its when both have an off day we are a bit screwed.

Broadhead’s header was superb, and you know maybe that’s enough to keep in the starting 11.

He’s just on his A game at present.

His right sided run in the first half - driving forward - was also a reminder of his quality.

Stick with him, he’ll come back to his full pomp.

Its the old idea- when you are not on great form, you need to put in the work and do your bit for the team. You are then still useful and the form will come back.

Not sure Broady always does that, though he worked a bit more tonight than at the weekend.

However, 7 goals at this stage of the season is arguably enough to keep him in the side as a fox in the box even when not contributing much else.

Coventry struggled to beat Plymouth last night , with a dodgy goal deciding it , we should have enough , but they seem a bit of a bogey side to us in our last few encounters …..still 2-0 Town butter tougher than tonight .

Coventry will be a completely different level to Millwall

And despite a mediocre start to the season, they have the players an lad manager to expect them to kick into a real run of play-off form

3 points from that next game would be a real marker

Broadhead was better, he's still miles off his best. But he contributes in big moments - last night his headed goal.

But he's looking a little lacking in confidence with the ball, he's opting for the easy pass. Harness looked far more composed on the ball when he came on - albeit Millwall will have tired - and was very involved.

Still think you start Broadhead. But it could be argued he needs a rest and a few games as an impact player when the game has opened up.
