So....our first real test? 17:36 - Dec 28 with 707 views | homer_123 | With Hirst out for a minimum of 4 weeks. Given McKenna has said significant...will be at least a grade 2. This, I feel, poses us our first real test. The loss of a major first team pivotal player. One we don't have an oven ready replacement for. With Scarlett departing, will this mean any move for Freddie is on hold? In the short term do we stick with the way we play using Freddie and Jackson? Does this alter our recruitment strategy for Jan? Poss not but it rather ups the ante. Hard to see our owners not being forthcoming with cash but never ideal buying under these circumstances. Does Stansfield look more an option now with Hirst out?

So....our first real test? on 17:44 - Dec 28 with 647 views | FrimleyBlue | I think we will be fine, just a few adjustments in the final third with how we utilise the forward. Freddie is the closest to Hirst, so I expect him to be used, but then KM may want to ensure we have a high press, if its then Jackson.. we just need to play him in more and not put ball to feet.

So....our first real test? on 17:48 - Dec 28 with 625 views | Churchman | With Scarlett always going back a replacement was always on the cards, I’d have thought. However that depends on availability and what work has been done behind the scenes. I can’t see the club piling in for panic signings as we saw during Evans’ time. A measured approach has been the way for some time now. If that means we have to go with what we’ve got in January through lack of availability of players McKenna wants, so be it. We are not under the same level of pressure as say clubs in the bottom half. Mind you, given our position, bring in somebody who can do Hirst’s role would brilliant. I would like to see another midfielder come in too.
So....our first real test? on 18:11 - Dec 28 with 565 views | positivity | i see what you're saying, but not sure it's our first real test. just this season we've had a couple walton's loss for several months seemed huge with some not convinced with hladky as a like for like replacement burns missed a month, with no like for like replacement we have the transfer window very soon, which may give us a very quick replacement. in the interim we could go horses for courses (with ladapo or jackson better suited to different opponents) and see who steps up (like hladky did) or as with walton's absence use the opportunity to gradually evolve the way we play. it's a big blow, but shouldn't be a terminal one
