I think someone else said it best when they said that all the drama about transfers happens in league one and in the championship, but no-one ever hears about it. The first we heard about a lot of transfers previously was a day or two ahead of signing them. Now the transfer saga is played out on the back pages and forums.

We clearly want him and I believe we have agreed terms too. Villa have exercised their right and it is up to them to at least match our terms. It is then down to the player to make his choice. Did he enjoy his time at Villa? Is he sold on the project here? Does he expect to play every week at both clubs?

Good for the player to have got himself into that situation. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign for us.
