I went and got the new away shirt last week in planet blue and I asked regarding the training kit and keeper kits, that haven't been released yet and their answer was that due to the sheer demand in the home and away kits they are looking to get that shifted first and then the other stuff would be released...

Pretty sure the release of the training kit was staggered last season as well. Guess they must have some solid data about how and when to release stuff to maximise the revenue from it. | |

This.
It's about building anticipation. If the training gear all comes out at the same time as kit. The kit tends to get bought first and then the training gear next payday.
This gives people a month to 'think about it' and a lot of people will either back out of it entirely, or wait until it gets reduced in March/April.
You wait for shirt sales to slow, then release the training gear, and the extra flow into Planet Blue and online, might also sell you a few more shirts. |  |
