Leicester and saints after Fabio Carvalho 20:06 - Aug 5 with 1613 viewschenners17

Surely we should be looking at Fabio Carvalho on loan if the other two promoted clubs are after him?

Plus we love the Hull team from last season so what’s wrong with adding one more to the group?

Great player and a no brainer on loan?

Think it's been reported that Liverpool only want a sale if he goes rather than another loan

Poll: How many points do you think you'll need to get a ticket for Norwich?

Why should we be looking just because other promoted clubs are allegedly after him?

How crap do you think our scouting network is?

I don’t think KM works by looking at who others are after and then going for them - think he has more of a plan in mind than that!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Certainly.

But you would think that the club prioritises players who are deemed to be realistic. There must be instances where player X is thought to be either unavailable or too pricey, and then there is a credible or semi-credible news story linking a club similar to ours at a price that wouldn't be impossible, and that may spark interest.

So not impossible that others' negotiations might spark our interest, but there's no indication of that here at this point.

It may also be that Kieran wants a mix of ages/experience as well as the obvious mix of playing positions (and prices, to come within budget). He might think that too many Delaps can't be justified (loads of potential, high price for us, very young and little experience). I accept that Carvalho has played games in the Prem though.

On the surface of it seems he should be a credible target but who’s to say he fits the profile we are after. For all we know he may not be the right character on the checks the club have done. After all we’d know with the players we haven’t wouldn’t we. Also would imagine we have a plan and whilst the timeline of that isn’t on track, there is nothing to say that we haven’t deviated from that. With the targets we have perhaps there isn’t the budget for this kind of signing. Would imagine CM and LF and Szmodics CAM would kill the rest of what we have to spend.
