Nearly 33 years old, 17 years as a professional footballer, 500 or so games and tomorrow he finally gets to make his premier league debut playing for the team he has led from mid-table in league one. I don’t know how many thousands of players have played a premier league game but there’s never been one who deserved it more.

Like Morsy, I didn't appear in the top division in my first 32 years.
Or indeed in the subsequent 37.
