I bought one for my grandma once thinking it was a nice present, but she's well into her 90's and doesn't have Wifi / internet access so uploading pictures to it was a bit of a faff through USB. It also had a dreadful battery life of about 2 hours and she never charged it up or kept it plugged in because she's tight and thought it would add hundreds to her energy bill.
In short it was a flop of a present so I've reverted to printing pictures of her great grandchildren and posting them to her every so often. This Christmas she's getting a jigsaw puzzle with some dogs on it and a bottle of ginger wine. |  | | |

That's the first one I looked at but some of the reviews aren't so great.

Just not something I've purchased before, so no idea how well these things work (until some of of the comments in this thread). Sounds like a good idea for someone who is notoriously hard to buy for (although not as hard as dad, but I'll worry about that later!) | |
