Positives 23:02 - Dec 27 with 1319 views | Nutkins_Return | Hell of a tough game today but positives 1. Stuck at it, incredibly disciplined 2. McKenna tweaked and improved us (what a manager he is). 3. Key players getting back and fit (Greaves and Phillips played well. 4. Greaves, O'Shea, Woolf and Burgess are a good unit of CBs. O'Shea is different class. I do think Greaves can be as well (was the pick before his injury). 5. Axel and Hirst back next month and I think a fit squad and a couple of key additions and we have a chance. Small but a chance. 6. Muric was decent tonight (stop the noise). 7. Thought Broady looked great. His touch and close control is arguably best in team maybe along with Hutch (normally). [Post edited 27 Dec 2024 23:04]

Positives on 23:08 - Dec 27 with 1220 views | Chrisd | That 2nd half performance was so much better. Stayed in the game until that final whistle, that’s the blue print for me against those better sides. Well done KM in changing things up. Shout out to Phillips, thought he had a decent game tonight.

I’d love us to get the Philips of 3/4 years ago back. He looks on the way and I’m slightly surprised he’s not been getting more game time.

He was in the groove by that Leicester game but sending off cost him and then did his ankle. Hopefully now he can play every week but suspect Morsy comes in against Chelsea as two games in 3 days is tough and makes sense for fresh legs with it being a Morsy calibre player. I actually could see Morsy and Taylor starting

Just for Chelsea, I presume, as Cajuste was again our best player last night?

Yes absolutely just for that game. If Cajuste is fine then he'll start. He is obviously still managing an issue. Cajuste and Phillips in theory could take those midfield slots. Which would be incredibly harsh on Morsy but if they were both at 100% are top players. Right now Morsy probably offers more with just the way he demands standards and knows the role required inside out. Obviously a very good player as well. Good options when all fit.

with Cajuste & Phillips having played most of the game last night, Morsy will definitely start against Chelsea.
