To be fair, they have both played in Champions League teams for excellent teams. Phillips has had a rough time, but let's not forget that he was Southgate's wet dream of a midfielder and was a perfect fit for Biesla"s Leeds.

I think it's a testament to Morsy that he's still starting every game.

It did surprise me that Morsy came straight back into the side after Phillips' performance against Arsenal.

Hopefully hell get a second half run out.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Rule out Morsy at your peril. He may scuttle sideways like a crab to get that right foot just perfect for the pass (which always make me chuckle), but he keeps stepping up. I'm struggling to put into words what he brings, but we seem better for it. Like taking the ball of Palmer's toes there. He might not be the most dynamic, or the most technical, but he seems to know where to be when. And is obviously a natural leader on the pitch.

Yep. And at the same time I want to see Philips get as much game time as possible to see if he can get back to what he was. And Cajuste is class. Decisions eh?

A three man midfield anyone lol?
