with pretend head injuries. Twice in two games now. Needs retrospective bans.

And the drop ball should be where he blew the whistle, not all the way back at the feigned incident.

100% agree. It's happening in a lot of games. Someone on here the other day mentioned we should be like rugby and allow the trainers on the pitch for a head injury. That might be an answer, but obviously causes issues if the player is down in a critical area of the pitch where they could get in the way. They're normally so obvious attempts at cheating that maybe it would be easiest to retrospectively look at the footage as you suggest. It does need looking at, whatever they come up with.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

And again with Colwill.

Cheating. And refs need to get to grips with it. Arguably he has this time by leaving Colwill on the touchline- but Id rather have the break.

Easy to deal with.

After the suspected head injury, an independent official does a full concussion protocol while the game continues without them. If it is deemed due to a foul, the fouling player has to wait it out too. If the independent official decides the player is not fit to continue there is a compulsory concussion substitution.

Agree about where the drop ball is taken from. An uncontested one in the opposition area should be fun to watch!

If they claim a head injury, they should have an automatic 5 minutes off the pitch before returning

Technically the drop ball should be made at the point at which the ball last touched a player *. Was it a long ball, last touched close to the injured player?

* unless it’s in the penalty area when play is stopped, then it goes to the goalkeeper regardless.
