Before a ball was kicked something just didn't feel right. 23:04 - Jan 16 with 1320 viewsBanksterDebtSlave

We even messed up the pre match huddle. I understand not starting Morsy tonight but we miss his energy somehow.

Not blaming the ref whatsoever as we only have ourselves to blame, but think the ref didn’t look to kindly on us over that pre match huddle.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Even though I was there I don’t recall what happened? Did we leave it too late for one?

Burns ran in to join it after the huddle had already been formed.

Personally, especially given that we played much better in the First Half than the Second, I would classify this under "Correlation does not imply Causation".

Walton and A N Other (Burns?) needed reminders to come to the party when the ref and Brighton were ready to start, all a bit sloppy really.

Edit ...but also the crowd just felt a little on edge without the same intensity early doors as we can sometimes generate.

Burns has a pre match ritual which he goes through in front of the West stand before every game. I think the minutes applause threw everything out of cycle.

Don’t think it had any impact on the result considering that was before kick off and we lost the game from the 59th minute onwards.

I thought that. Weird cos I felt we would be loud tonight. But not having the ball for first 15 mins didn’t help.

Bad night. Felt it could be a season pivotal game. And maybe it was.
