Decision-making 20:55 - Jan 19 with 414 views | Zx1988 | One of the things that stood out to me today was some of the decision-making on show, particularly in the final third. There was a passage of play in the first half where Delap cut in down the right, with a team-mate free and calling for the ball on the penalty spot. Delap chose to run and shoot from the angle instead. Also Clarke's mazy dribble that led to City's fifth, which seemed to baffle even Cajuste. Hutch doesn't seem to have been too hot on his decisions lately either; a lot of choosing to run and try and beat the man, rather than playing a good pass. Is it just youthful naïvité from the youngsters which, hopefully, McKenna can train out of them? Or are they starting to look at our position and think that they're better off trying to go it alone?

Our lack of experience is brutally exposed against the top teams but we continue to learn from it. It’s not surprising that a team assembled/worth probably close to £1bn is considerably better than a team assembled for about 10% of that. Learn and move on.
