I'd suggest leaving the cultural sink hole that is Bury and motoring down the A143 to the cultural hotspot of Haverhill. Then pop into the Scarlet Pimpernel (the pimp) on the Chalkstone Estate and tell um you need to see Town game. Sure they'll help

For people who like tv throwbacks it is a lot like the Jockey in Shameless. If you want a boozer with the creatures of an estate then this is the place. Best part of the night was when the landlord barred a dealer for short changing him."

The landlord is my sisters now ex husband..
The Pimp had many fine and unique aspects.
My personal favourite was the weed smoking area and the landlords response to people smoking weed outside of the designated area. 'Feck1n hell lads, I keep Feck1n telling yer, if yer gonna smoke that sh1te in here you have to do it in that corner. The whole Feck1n pub smells like sh1t'
You can't buy entertainment like that.
On the other hand I wouldn't advise anyone to invest £25 on the all you can drink live boxing on til 6 rivate party's.. | | | |
