Our squad cost 166 million Euros, Man United's cost 1,038 million.

I was proud of all our players tonight, and thought Philogene, Clarke and Cajuste were the pick of the bunch, although it was more difficult for the first two in the second half with the way Man Utd set themselves up to defend.

So based on this we have the lowest squad value in the league and therefore shouldn’t have won even won one game this season ? Man Utd are awful any other side aside from us , saints and maybe Leicester would have scored 4/5 tonight against the ten men ! We looked scared and totally in awe of the occasion ! The players are championship players and I now
Believe the manage is as well based on what I have seen the last 6-8 week , he doesn’t know his best side and has no plan B and barley a plan a ! No leadership on the side

Well said, not had much experience of facing a low block this season, just didn't have the quality. It is what it is.

Little misleading. The squad tonight didn't cost over a billion Euros. 3 of their players cost more than our entire squad, just for a bit of balance, but that squad didn't cost that.

But they only had 10 men which means it was effectively 166 million vs 935 billion.

Did you actually mean billion for United? Presumably it was million or 1.038 billion because 1000 billion is utterly insane (not that more than 1 billion isn't).

That's a far better way of looking at it. People say we should be doing better having spent £130 million but we are playing against teams that contain individuals that cost more than that alone!

Indeed but let's at least put some heart into it - we were so pedestrian, ponderous and predictable. No effort to beat the man and cross. Defensively and tactically impotent and clear lack of confidence - I have followed Town since 92 . Used to losing but would like to have seen some spirit tonight - there are ways to lose this wasn't it

By squad, I did mean the whole 25 (or whatever it is) but it still suggests those not in tonight's squad for United are at a higher level than those in our squad for tonight.

Good point, well made! I've changed the OP.

How much did the Maidstone squad cost when they beat us in comparison to ours less than 13 months ago?

I was there when McKenna's ITFC won in the Premier League at Home.
