At the next presser could you ask Kieran why our players, and all the others put their arms up in the air prior to taking corners and free-kicks please? I don't believe that it has anything to do with the delivery of the cross and is purely an affectation. I see kids doing it in junior football as they're just copying what they see on the TV.
I even saw someone try to put their arm up before taking a long throw the other day!!!

It is all about delivery, but these days it must be all sorts of bluff and counter bluff

I think it must be something about the transitions with the hi press and counter press and the counter attack overloads between the lines and the low block.

Does a double pivot haves to be two 6's, or can it be a 6 and an 8 as well? Is it that hard to say defensive midfielder or attacking midfielder!
I prefer engine room.

It's a signal to say "I'm about to take a corner" just in case his teammates were expecting him to go for lunch or something.

Poll: Who do you blame for our failure to progress?

The stupid thing as - as just seen in the BHAFOR match - is that there were two players lining up to take the free kick. one left footed, one right. But the actual kicker stuck his hands up in the air, so who was fooled by that???
