I was at a match last year where a player had a cardiac arrest and needed CPR. Tough for all involved but life saving work by both clubs' staff before the ambulance arrived - I guess the same here so well done to them. |  | |  |

I'm originally a Lowestoft lad, actually played for them back in the day, so I get notifications of their scores.
I got the notification "play suspended" and it was either 4-1 or 5-1 when the incident happened, so made no difference to the result.
Lowestoft were relegated already, before the match started, so I imagine with Telford being so far from Lowestoft they didn't want to traipse back to reply a dead rubber.
Really hope the goalkeeper has recovered. Sounded awful.
Made me think back to my playing days and when I used to watch them as a kid. I was there the night the keeper (can't 100% recall his name, begins with "M", Mutton I think) came rushing out to clear a ball and smashed into Rex Butcher's leg. The whole crowd could hear the "crack", dreadful injury. Will never forget that. | | | |
