He just reminds me of Troyze.

Very underrated player imo.

Was excellent for us and a shame he ended up struggling with injuries.

Was combative, broke up play well and could play himself. I always like players who do the simple things well.

Read the game well too.

Agreed, I always thought he was given an unnecessarily hard time by some of our fans. Something that seems to be reserved in the main for 'our own'.
A hard working lad who, as you say, did the simple things well and was definitely capable. I met him once and he seemed a decent guy too.
It was a real shame his career ended as it did.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Yes, spot on about the 'one of our own' thing and how that seemed to encourage fans to get on his back sometimes.

I remember him being in with the fans for one of the Norwich away games.

Real shame how it ended.

He was really not helped being partnered with Skuse and Douglas.

Another home grown player who was under-rated by the fan base. There's a reoccuring theme.

Luke was a very good player IMO, loved him for that proper head butt at Cambridge pre-season. Then early in the new season when an opponent tried to wind him up, he just laughed in his face. Brilliant guy.
