What about utilising him as a holding midfielder?

He's calm, experienced, doesnt lose the ball and despite his age appears in brilliant condition and appears to still have the ability to perform at this level?

What about using players in positions they're good at playing in instead?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Wondered the same to be honest. I think he can pretty much play anywhere other than goalkeeper, centre back or centre forward.

Don’t think it’s nuts suggestion myself, I’m not advocating we should put him in centre midfield now but if we did I think he’d do a good job.

Square peg, round hole, I think.

I'd favour him keeping the right back role and I think Matusiwa's obvious abilities will synch very quickly with both the speed of the Championship and with Jens.

Then we need backups.

This is very much along the lines of those saying play Davis further forward.

Simply won't be as effective.

Play players in positions where they can offer the most.
