Not technically true. Our match was voided by us and all other firms. Quite literally every market was void. So all bets including our game just change from say a 10-fold acca to a 9-fold acca.
The punter has only gained here because the match was voided when his bet was about to lose. He’d have needed us at least two more goals in the match plus one of them being us. So the match being void helped him. Had the match continued, and we equalised and Blackburn or us found a late winner, he’d have been on for around 90k as the price would’ve been around 5/2 to 11/4. 25k at 5/2 is £87,500 and at 11/4 is £93,750 [Post edited 22 Sep 21:05]
