Thought we were good second half. First half we were poor. But thought it was a professional display overall.
More progress made.
First half I think was the players feeling the tension a bit. I think we underestimate the effect the crowd can have. Some sections can't wait to jump on players backs. Can't just expect to turn up and it be an easy 3-0 win. | | | |

That's fair enough, but we all want us to be successful. I guess some expect Brazil from the 70's, but we all want the same thing. I don't come here during the match because that is pretty unbearable, but I guess they are just venting their frustrations. It's an internet forum for all. | |

I honestly have very little to offer on today's game. We won, it was not a particularly inspiring performance but we got the job done. I don't think we learned anything from today. On to the next one. [Post edited 20 Dec 2025 19:30]

We won. Pretty much every other result went our way. Probably makes this a good day.
First half we were pretty poor. Lots of nervy moments passing around the back four. We didn't seem able to play through the midfield. Cajuste didn't seem able to affect the game.
Better after half time. Philogene took his goal well. Nunez started to get the ball more and made us tick.
Then, the combination of the Wednesday goal and the triple change seemed to really knock us and we struggled to do much for the next 20 minutes. Clarke messed up the chance for his goal, but got lucky as the defender tripped over.
I don't think we learned much new. It is a poor league and we are third without really getting into gear. We move the ball too slowly and our play through midfield is really turgid. We rely on individual skill, rather than team play. But we know that if we can get Philogene into shooting positions, he will score.
Wednesday did well, given the circumstances they find themselves in. I've seen worse teams this season. [Post edited 20 Dec 2025 19:50]
