the transfer window has closed and we can turn our attention to the football tomorrow night.

Here’s hoping Hirst, Azon, Akpom and Szmodics start to find the net again in the rest of the season.

Well none of the aforementioned have shown any intent to score goals on a regular basis in the first 60% of the season so I wouldn’t hold your breath

Still the potential that we have deal sheet(s) in - might not find out for two hours, yet.

As pointed out to me on another post Raheem Sterling is a free agent and we can still bring him in. Let's face it his goal scoring record is better than any of the other strikers, posters have mentioned who we should buy.

I think it's a bit of a leap to say they have no intent to score on a regular basis. Are you suggesting they're saboteurs?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Let’s see where this goes now. I think it’s a massive blunder by the club not to bring in a no. 9. We have needed one since we knew Delap would be off. You have to question the recruitment team, where are they looking, are they looking ? Ashton needs to sort that database out and quick. This could be the defining moment of our season.

We have the current second-highest goal scorer in the championship on the books. Who doesn't even start every game.
As original OG said if the likes of Hirst, Akpom, Azor and Szmodics get a rub of the green and up the ante just a tad we are in good shape.
Can't cry over what you don't have

Completely unfair to question their intent.

One thing you can guarantee -

The next time we draw or don't win - which could well be tomorrow night - there will be plenty of reminders about the window.....

Tomorrow night is proper tough, Tuesday night, Pompey on a bit of a run and us on the back of two "poor" results. Big test !
