Your OP is correct though.

I do think we are a long way short of what we need if we get promoted too. The bigger concern for me is can we get the right quality and number of players in to bridge the gap in that scenario?

It's such a ridiculous dynamic between the Championship and PL now. You essentially need one squad to get promoted and one squad to actually play in the PL. Must be a bit of a headf*** if you're a Championship player now knowing you have to be extremely committed to getting promoted to a league you probably won't even start a game in.

It will be interesting to see how true that is for Spurs next season!

I do know what you mean, though. Their squad would absolutely dominate this division I'm sure.
