| On the BBC gossip page, from talksport 09:55 - Apr 23 with 1141 views | itfc1108 | It says Sunderland manager Regis le Bris, may be sacked at the end of the season, if they don't qualify for Europe. That would be just ridiculous. The game needs something quite major to happen, so that some kind of reset occurs. | | | | |
| On the BBC gossip page, from talksport on 09:58 - Apr 23 with 1069 views | Guthrum | That would be mad beyond belief, given recent history of newly promoted clubs failing to stay up. But ... Possible also a symptom of expectations given the money they spent to do so. | |

Did they spend a huge amount more than we did? Bear in mind they brought in £35m in sales at the start if the window. [Post edited 23 Apr 10:36]

| On the BBC gossip page, from talksport on 10:46 - Apr 23 with 737 views | SWLondonBlue93 | There's been a lot of sackings this season, but this would be the most deranged by a long shot. Mad to even suggest it | | | |

Obviously bearing in mind most of these fees are "undisclosed" and spread out over several years, various sites suggest they've spent in the region of £150m - £200m in the last two windows. Which is more than us, even considering player sales. But that's also why I used the word "expectations" - from owners putting the money in, but perhaps not being realistic.

Something quite major you say? How about a complete and utter failure of a World Cup. All top seeded nations get eliminated at the groups stages along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan. Iran run out eventual winners after beating Iraq in an epic final. Trump presents the Iranian captain with the Cup who dedicates the victory to the genocided peoples of Palestine and Lebanon whilst Trump declares himself the winner because it was the bestest, biggest and most expensive sporting tournament in history. I'd watch that. Group A: Mexico (Host), South Korea, South Africa, Czechia Group B: Canada (Host), Switzerland, Qatar, Bosnia-Herzegovina Group C: Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, Haiti Group D: USA (Host), Paraguay, Australia, Turkiye Group E: Germany, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Curacao Group F: Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Tunisia Group G: Belgium, Iran, Egypt, New Zealand Group H: Spain, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, Cape Verde Group I: France, Senegal, Norway, Iraq Group J: Argentina, Algeria, Austria, Jordan Group K: Portugal, Colombia, Uzbekistan, DR Congo Group L: England, Croatia, Ghana, Panama
