I am all for people getting time off work, that isn't my query here.
But isn't it a little excessive considering those supporting/celebrating would have had all day Sunday to recover? I stayed up to watch the game as a football fan, out of choice, i grabbed an hours kip on the sofa yesterday to level me out.
I might have missed a key bit of information around why it got the go ahead, so will apologies in advance for that if someone points it out.

Not sure how common it is but in the company I work for our colleagues based in Scotland only have the same bank holidays as England. [Post edited 15 Jun 12:22]

This was my initial reaction to it, I was listening to talksport Saturday and they were discussing the Scotland game. Thought to myself "bit early considering its Sunday night/Monday morning" to the see it was Saturday night/Sunday morning! | | | |
