Any ideas why Brexit has been such a sh1tshow anyone? 08:44 - Jun 24 with 658 viewsbluelagos

10 years ago, after narrowly winning the referendum, Boris Johnson confessed, "We didn't have a plan for what to do next" "We didn't think it was our job to have a plan" 10 years later, Brexit continues to be a disaster

To be fair to Boris I don’t think that a plan was needed there-and-then - yes, a plan of action was needed but not immediately after.

A more damning assessment is in the fact that the government initiated Article 50 without that clear plan. And without a team of dedicated trade negotiators. I believe that the EU negotiations were shocked at just how unrealistic the UK was during this time.

To be fair neither Boris nor Nigel were in power in 2016. It was Cameron and then May. Remainers both of them.
Now we have had Starmer and presumably Burnham wanting to take us back.
The EU ship continues to sink but the fools are desperate to get back on board before it does go under so that they can rearrange the deck chairs.

Aside from the fact that it was a huge mistake, I can't offer any further explanation.
