| Pedro Vite of Ecuador on 23:59 - Jun 25 with 1679 views | armchaircritic59 | Well before we get carried away, some stats. Since 2021, for the 3 clubs he's played for as an attacking midfielder he's made 145 appearances and scored 15 goals, or neatly, around one every 10 games. And the " size police " here will have a field day, as like me, he's 5ft 6ins! Oh and that was his second goal for Ecuador in 21 games, so again 1 in 10. And just for an extra bit of reference, currently playing in Mexico's top league. On the Opta world league standings, correct as of today, the English PL is of course well clear at the top of the rankings, the English Championship is 7th, the Mexican MX ( top league where he's currently playing, comes in at 21st ). Not saying he's not a decent player, just adding a bit of perspective. And for a bit of balance he's still just 24, so improvement possible. | | | |

Plata who got the winner looks decent - thought he had a good work rate, and he is with CR Flamengo valued at E9M.

He is listed as an attacking midfielder, that is not where he plays anymore he plays a more traditional 6. So goals aren't really important at all. Think he's been linked with City before as well as other big clubs across Europe after switching his position for last season so would probably be impossible to do. Some player though. Well, if he's really that good and the likes of City etc, decide he's not for them, he might be worth a look. I can only go on the stats, not seen enough of him to form an " eye test " opinion. If he is good enough for the likes of City, then he's wasting his talent in the Mexican top league for sure.
