But what can it have within it whicj we may mot have at the training ground currently. How much can it help develop all ages.

From a medical and rehab perspective the multidisciplinary team will certainly benefit in a player centered approach. All aspects of management will be operating in close proximity to the coaching staff as well. So for me, its communication and timely interventions which when spread across different sites would not be as effective.

Certainly getting rid of the portakabins will help, but it certainly won't be the level of upgrade as would be the case if Hull undertook a similar scheme:

Yeah that's the impression I got that it is great for injury rehab... Cue a season with zero injuries.

Ours was built for a time when the number of performance department staff would have been far fewer. Now we'll have no more people crammed in portacabin office, no more first team briefings taking place in a shared portacabin but a dedicated space with modern AV set up, etc. McKenna often used to talk about the 'flow' of the training facility being right and from the plans it looks like a lot of that has been designed in. And one more thing that’s not been mentioned yet is the benefit the club in general from continuing development. You can’t afford to stand still. The facilities need constant refreshes and upgrades to support a higher value of the club, otherwise you just get the decay we had under Evans (this is more important to the accounts that the players of course).
