Do you think we will see a new cb coming in or we go into it with the three that we have and maybe a younger backup but one whos more experienced than elkan.

| Oshea/kipre on 20:46 - Jul 9 with 956 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | We are very obviously going to sign a centre back, probably for a big fee. Kipre will be a ok backup if we are desperate but he is not good enough to be starting Premier league games at all. | |

| Oshea/kipre on 21:00 - Jul 9 with 879 views | Guthrum | I'm sure we will get another CB in. We need more Prem experience in the spine of the team (as a wise man said to me earlier in the summer). Think Kipre may surprise some people, but I'm not sure if he is up to being a regular starter, especially not without more quality alongside him. | |

And if we’re going to a back 3 we’ll need two, which is a big ask. The more I think about the scale of what we need, the more pessimistic I get. I need to snap out of that lol

Yup, Kipres physicality will see him be an asset in the prem, he’ll play a fair few games, especially if we have three centre backs.

Im not sure his physicality is actually his best attribute. I think his passing ability is what he's best at. I was disappointed by how many duels he lost to opposing strikers last year, thought he struggled against strikers who wanted a fight

Not to mention the countless times he let Daniel Jebbinson just run off the back of him against Preston at home. I’d never seen anything like it.

He’s an average centre half who’s spent most of his career playing in that division. We HAVE to get someone in alongside O’Shea and I’d also want someone as a better back up than Kipre. But, that won’t go down well with most on here.

Played 90 mins twice when he came back from suspension and struggled in both games vs West Brom and Pompey I thought. I do think he is nice player on the ball though and he scored vs Norwich.

| Oshea/kipre on 22:05 - Jul 9 with 602 views | itfcsuth | Kipre in reality will provide cover, and at £4m it’s decent cover, but I think it’s evident we need to make a significant step up in that CB department. | | | |
| Oshea/kipre on 23:25 - Jul 9 with 488 views | jas0999 | We will sign a CB for sure. Kipre will be used sparingly. | | | |
