There will only be one incoming (Flemming) and several outgoing loans , maybe 5 or 6 . We will be weak in CB positions if injuries/ suspensions pile up , but apart from that, i think we have a reasonable squad in all positions and certainly vastly improved on our last PL campaign |  | | |  |

With 2 loans still available I would be shocked (well not shocked, mildly surprised) if we dont use at least one of these slots. Wont be a first choice, but a back up in the mould of Townsend from previous season, someone who wont set the pulses racing but will be good for 10-15 minutes off the bench when necessary |  |

I don't know if you include Ogbene as already gone, but if Flemming comes in, and 5-6 go out, that leaves us with squad of ~20. That's not going to happen.

I don't know if you include Ogbene as already gone, but if Flemming comes in, and 5-6 go out, that leaves us with squad of ~20. That's not going to happen.

Indeed. There's no point in shipping players out if we don't need to.

Sure, there are still some area's we could improve - but every club at every level will always say that.
Our question this year is: Have we enough to stay up? With my blue glasses off I'd like to think we have. If the players play to their ability and don;t lose too many at the start and lose confidence they really ought to have enough about them to stay up.
That's not something we could say (well, I couldn't anyway) a couple of years ago. Then it was so much about hope rather than expectation. |  |

We could survive but I still hate our defensive depth and worry that will be our downfall as things sound. If Philogene stays, with the plan being him covering the right, then I really hope this second arrival O'Neil wants strengthens us at the back. | |

I was including players like Tudor Mendel in that figure , who wouldnt count in the squad anyway. | | | |
