I think we need to see some KM rotation from O'neil
Maeda when we press high. Clarke when we dont for example
We need the angry lukic in cm. Picking up cards by getting stuck in
We need to feed emmerson more with the ball. We get him involved things happen around him.
Defence. Biggest area to resolve
I dont think the oshea rb experiment works at all
Davis.. we need to work on the final ball.. not from him but the runners into the box. The angles just arent there yet
Anyways. Im quite positive. I think we need to play akin to hull personally for the opening 10 minutes or games. Lets work the game out and then relax and showcase our talent. But our high line is causing ourselves issues.

I'm shocked at how O'Neil has set us up in the last two games, especially as we have the talent going forward on the counter.

Liverpool were far to street wise for us and we cannot be surprised by that surely, a game we were never going to win this early in the season ,as this Town team need gell as a unit .

It's less about formations.
It's about the basics of making us hard to play against. You can do that with any formation. T
Playing a high line and playing offside against Man U and Liverpool is as stupid as I've seen any team play against them. I just watched the second goal again. No pressure on the ball and playing a high line. Playing 5 at the back won't help with those tactics.
I still think we will be fine this season, but we have to improve and be hard to play against when we haven't got the ball. [Post edited 5 Sep 6:06]

On one hand you would read his interviews and he would be talking about finding consistency and developing patterns of play ...how do you do that when. You chop and change your line up every week?

It’s frankly too early to assess us as a team but so far we look shaky in defence, our midfield is lacking Matusiwa but going forward we look a threat. Just need to get more service to Emmy and Flemmy (although I’m sure he wouldn’t appreciate that nickname)
I didn’t expect us to get anything from the Utd or Liverpool games although it was a good time to play Liverpool as they are still wip. |  |
