Town to Face West Ham in Pre-Season
Friday, 14th May 2010 11:34

Town have announced that this pre-season’s Portman Road showcase friendly will be against West Ham United on Saturday 31st July (KO 3pm). The game will see former Blue Kieron Dyer return to his hometown club.

Chief executive Simon Clegg told the club site: "As part of our pre-season schedule Roy wanted a high profile friendly against top opposition at home and we've got that with West Ham coming to Portman Road.

"It's not too far for their supporters to travel and with the Championship season starting a week later, it should be a good atmosphere for what I'm sure will be exciting and competitive match."

Tickets will go on sale from July 1st priced as follows, season ticket holders booking tickets in advance: £15 adults, £10 concessions and £2 U16s. Non-season ticket holders booking tickets in advance: £17.50 adults, £12.50 concessions and £3 U16s. Tickets on the day: £20 adults, £15 concessions and £5 U16s.

The Hammers have been allocated 4,000 tickets in the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand.

West Ham were last at Portman Road for a friendly in the summer of 2008 when a Dean Ashton hat-trick saw them to a 5-2 victory.

yep, just found out my mates Man Yoo ST was £513?!?!
thats a fecking joke just over £100 more than mine.. they must make thir money abck on prawn sarnies, but seriously given the D for a Man Yoo ST compared to ITFC, it is starting to seem quite expensive..

not saying i want to support anyone else but the debts and bills etc they have and the quality of football makes you think about blind loyalty..

I have to say that £15.00 to watch a friendly game is a little steep. I can't see more than 6,000 being there. Make the tickets a fiver each and they will probably get 15,000. Surely the more cost effective option?

West Ham is a decent friendly game, but not a massive draw.

Dont the so called powers that be realise just how much we hate that east london sh-tehouses. Dont they know about all the history and bad blood between us going back to '75. What an appalling fixture. The police bill will use up any meagre profit

Zola has more chance of playing for them again than Dyer.

What a joke, put a lot of thought into that, NOT. Second rate prem league team who will bring down to PR a bunch of nutters who will be pizzed up and cause a riot. Again far to expensive, never more than 12k to attend.
